The Bulgarian Business Incubation Centre (BIC) of CERN Technologies aims to bridge the gap between science and industry. Through its Incubation program, it supports start-ups and small enterprises in implementing CERN’s innovative technologies and in transforming them from technical concepts into ground-breaking products or services.
The program consists of two major phases:
- Selection (Phase I and Phase II)
The selection process is conducted in two stages. Firstly, each applicant fills out an online application form (Phase I). Evaluated by an independent jury, the best proposals will qualify for the next round. In the second round (Phase II), contestants will prepare a business plan and pitch their idea to the jury.
- Execution (Phase III)
The winner(s) of the program will receive a one-time cash grant of EUR 20,000 and non-monetary benefits to get the idea to realisation.
